Join FBYC

Become part of the oldest and most active boating club on Greers Ferry Lake.

Why Join FBYC?

The Fairfield Bay Yacht Club has been bringing together boating enthusiasts on Greers Ferry Lake since 1988. Whether you own a sailboat, a powerboat, or just love being on the water, FBYC is your community.

Membership opens the door to a full calendar of on-water events — from the annual Poker Run to the elegant Commodore's Ball — plus the camaraderie of fellow lake lovers who become lifelong friends.

New members are warmly welcomed. We encourage families, solo boaters, and anyone who loves Greers Ferry Lake to join us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to own a boat to join?

Not at all! Associate memberships are available for those who love the lake and the club community but don't own a boat. Many of our most active members participate in events aboard friends' boats.

When does the membership year run?

The FBYC membership year runs January 1 through December 31. Dues paid after October 1st will be applied to the following calendar year.

Can I attend an event before joining?

Yes! Many FBYC events are open to guests and prospective members. The annual Membership Drive in March is specifically designed for people considering joining. Check the events calendar for open events.

How do I renew my membership?

Renewal notices are sent in November for the coming year. You can renew at any board meeting, by contacting the Treasurer directly, or via the contact form on this site.

Is FBYC affiliated with any national sailing organization?

FBYC is an independent yacht club. While we do not require USCG certification, we encourage all members to complete boating safety courses offered through the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
